City
of Heroes
My characters from the on-line
multiplayer role-playing game (Which I'm very addicted to it seems)
Some are heroes, and of course villains. You'll be seeing a lot more
of them soon I hope.
Tsurara
Name: Motoko Miyagawa aka
Tsurara (Japanese for Icicle)
Origin: Mutation
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Height: 5’ 2”
Weight: Not telling!
Place of birth: Tokyo, Japan
Background: Nothing
seemed special when Motoko Miyagawa was born 19 years ago; it was an
ordinary birth in a city of millions. She was raised, went to
school, found friends, shopped, and assisted her mother with the
house, nothing special. Until after her fifteenth that is, when
desiring that her soda would be a little colder, the girl was
shocked to suddenly discover the glass encased in ice. For the next
few years she hid that patches of ice would form around objects
around her, always stashing the odd glass, pen, book into the folds
of her clothes, behind the closest chair, dresser. Having a little
knowledge due to the fame of Paragon City she understood that she
was a mutant.
Yet the idea did not
frighten her, it excited her, but she also knew that she could never
understand her powers unless she went to a place where she knew to
find others like herself, Paragon City. But how to get from Tokyo to
Paragon City was her problem, along with how to talk to the cities
hero’s? The only solution she could think of was school. With
renewed vigor she threw herself into education, along with classes
heavy in learning English with the idea of earning a rare overseas
scholarship to Paragon. It was not an easy path as she worked on her
fledgling powers in secret, until she could throw bolts of ice, and
hold an object surrounded by a sea of frozen water. At last, after
completing her first year of junior collage, and much dialogue with
sponsors, that she earned her scholarship to Paragon City
University. Now in Paragon City, she used her limited funds at
Icon for her first costume, and with time between school and finding
any hero that will help train her in her powers, Tsurara hopes to
make her mark upon the city.
Jemmina
Name: Jemmina
Origin: Magic
Gender: Female
Age: 2332 years old, give or take a century.
Description: 4’ 6” Gray skin, with red top knot, lavender
glowing eyes, and a pair of horns.
Back-story: Born in 327 BC, The warrior woman known as
Jemmina, named after a wise woman of old, had come to love the call
of battle, and willingly swam in an ocean of red as her victims fell
before her. For she was born of a raiding tribe that took goods,
food and most of all slaves. For Jemmina didn’t care if it was men,
women, of the more valuable children, and so no one mourned when at
last she fell in battle. And it was not a surprise that when she
awoke after that fateful day, her spirit now rested in the
underworld, and it was there that what she had bestowed upon the
living, she now received in death, a plaything for demons.
For a thousand years she was used, defiled and humiliated by an
endless stream of fiends, as her body took on the darkness that fed
the lower regions. Until at last she came into her own power, those
that had recently defiled her received the first of her vengeful
wrath, for another thousand years Jemmina hunted, killed and
tortured those that had used her, until the day came that the Lord
of the Underworld summoned her to him.
There, for a short time the Lord used her like the demons of old,
daring her to rise against him, but she knew herself to be far too
weak to revenge herself. So that once the Lord saw her submission,
he told her a tale of an army of demons that had fled his rule, fled
back to the surface world in a place called Paragon City. There they
had taken over a host of humans, and lived within their now vacate
shells. He then commanded her to go to this Paragon City and find
the escaped demons and send them back to him for punishment. In
return, she’ll receive a small corner of the Kingdom of hell to rule
in his name.
Gladly accepting the task of her lord, Jemmina returned to earth,
still in her dark form, but upon arrival she found that many of her
powers of the underworld were gone. Now she builds new powers on the
surface world, while finding the fugitive fiends in their dead host,
and by ripping their black hearts from their chests, returns them
back to her lord for justice. Yet, to do that she must follow the
ways of the surface world, while she cares little for the humans
that populate the plane of light, fighting against them and the
runaway demons would take too much time. So she counts herself as a
so called hero, hunting for her prey that hides within the gangs
terrorizing the city.
Personality Traits: Jemmina whole task is to find the demons
that escaped from hell and return them to her lord. It is because of
this task that she helps the people of Paragon City, while she may
not care for the people, she understands with all the police and
hero’s about, that by joining those that help, is she giving more
ease to herself in her mission. She’s selfish, cruel, manipulative
and out for herself. Yet she will follow the ways of the hero’s of
Paragon because the prey that she hunts has disguised themselves
among those terrorizing the city. The Outcast, Circle of Thorn,
Skulls, Council, all have demons in their faction, and what better
way to hunt them down than to join forces with their enemies.
Powers: Jemmina body host the dark magic’s of the underworld,
any in time is learning to use them in the lands of the light.
Slowly the small demoness is becoming stronger
In-Game Archetype: Scrapper
In-Game Powersets: Dark Melee/Dark Armor

Always
By Touya, (See links) a wonderful comic and furry artist that's really worth an email for a CoH or furry commission. This was my idea off the old idea of a bad guy grabbing the wrong thing, but seems by Tsu's comment, this happens often. |

Demon
I love the name Jemmina, and since it's an old name I had to use it for my demon from 'City of Heroes' Believe me, while she's playing hero, she's still a demon at heart. This wonderful pencil work is by Shane Bollin. |
